What is an Administrator Account in WordPress and Why is it Important Not to Share It?

In WordPress, an administrator account is a user role that has the highest level of access and permissions to manage your website. This means that an administrator can do pretty much anything on the site, from creating and editing posts and pages, to managing themes and plugins, to adding and deleting other users.

Because an administrator account has so much power, it’s really important to be careful about who has access to it. Sharing the login details for an administrator account can be risky, because if the wrong person gets their hands on it, they could potentially make unwanted changes to your site or even delete it altogether. That’s why it’s best to keep the administrator account login details to yourself and only give trusted individuals access to your site with lower-level user roles, like editor or author, that have more limited permissions.

If you ever need to give someone temporary access to your WordPress site, you can always create a new user with an editor or author role and delete it once the task is complete. This way, you can be sure that no one is able to make any unwanted changes to your site.

So, in a nutshell, an administrator account is like the master key to your WordPress site, and it’s important to keep it safe and secure to protect your website. Happy WordPress-ing!
